How about wrapping them in clear plastic wrap with a ribbon?  Anything wrapped says to me, use later!

Moranimal137:  Have them on a table near the exit with a sign indicating they are to be taken home at the end of the wedding.

Unless you have a very young crowd who are glad to get a free glass of any sort, expect that there may be a lot left over. Many people are not big on one personalized glass that doesn’t match anything else they own.

Moranimal137:  Why aren’t they to be used during the reception?

My Future Sister-In-Law and her hubby had personalized glasses at their wedding as well, and we set them out with the place settings. Her hubby said during the thank yous before the meal in a very nice fashion that they were meant to be filled with drink and merriment and taken home at the end. I believe they might have had 5-10 left over after a 160ish person wedding. The idea of glasses is a great one – yes, they’re personalized, but functional! (And honestly – who doesn’t have some mismatching glasses they use everyday?)
