I did, but I wasn’t using Pinterest then. Prior to being engaged, I merely used “Add links to favourites” on my browser and categorize my favourites as “Junk” or “Vintage” to avoid suspicions, lol! I also saved pictures onto a folder called “V-style” on my laptop.

I think it helps narrow down your options a bit, but I didn’t really commit nor stick to anything I found. It’s usually interesting: what I see, & like VS. the actual plans I executed varied a lot of the times.

I wouldn’t do this if other people could see (ie. Buying wedding magazines or going to expos). But since Pinterest has secret boards, I did pin a few things.

I’ll admit I had a secret board on Pinterest, it wasn’t a secret that the FI and I wanted to get married since we had been dating for 11.5 years at that point, but I didn’t want anyone to see my ideas before I was engaged.

Yes…. I can’t help myself. All my wedding stuff is on pinterest, on a board called ‘someday’. My boyfriend thinks its funny I call it that. I think he should take a hint :p

@Sparkidoodle:  I had a secret pinterest board. It started when we were TALKING about the idea of getting engaged, LOL.  But it really went crazy after we picked out a ring and I was just  “waiting.”  I thought I was being super clever, but I made the mistake of showing FMIL and she of course was so excited that she ended up spilling about it to FI.  Thank goodness the man just thought it was cute and didn’t run away screaming 🙂

Yes, mine was on a Pintrest board called “Wishful Thinking”, but I only really started adding to it all the time once FI and I had talked about rings etc and I knew the proposal was coming.

Once Pinterest came out with secret boards I started a wedding one (I was waiting at that point).  Now that I’m engaged I shared it with my mom and sister and my mom said, wow you really found a lot in just a couple weeks, haha.  I don’t know how much of my inspiration will apply to what we end up doing, but I’m glad I already had a sense of what I like so I wasn’t starting from square one when we got engaged.

@Sparkidoodle:  Haha yeah…. We’re in our 30’s and he’s her oldest, his younger brother is already married… So I think she was worried if it’ll ever happen for her first born 🙂  Plus, I’m a pretty awesome FDIL  lol

I had a wedding board on Pinterest prior to being engaged and I certainly looked at wedding stuff. I think the only thing on my wedding board that I am sticking with is one of the hair inspiration pictures!
