It’s sort of like a big push pin board for you to put things that inspire you, receipes you want to try, etc.  Repinning just means someone saw it and wanted it on their board too.

It’s a way to organize all the inspiring things you see online so you can go to one place.  It’s great for inspiration and I love that you can create specific boards.  Yes, re-pinning just means that someone liked what they saw and want the image/idea/website on one of their boards.  It’s like virtual vision boards.

Yep–Pretty much everything on my boards is re-pinned from others. I do pin something on my own once in awhile if I see something online I want, but there are so many amazing things already on there, that I can easily spend hours just looking at other boards and re-pinning.  You may know this already, but you can also search by topic so if you’re looking for wedding ideas, search for weddings and you’ll get inspiration overload.

You can also pin stuff from all over the web. Tons of sites and blogs have a “pin it” feature!

Some people don’t know this part, either…. Most of the time when you click on the picture you’re interested in, it links to the website it was taken from…. So all those yummy pics of food you see – most often you have access to the recipe when you click on the delicious looking picture, and if you like it, you can pin it to your board and save it for later. 🙂

@MalbecMe:  Yes! I wish everyone knew this. It drives me nuts when people ask questions that could be answered by clicking on it. It’s like a glorified bookmarking tool!

It is a visual favorites basically. But its easier to organize and neat to look at other peoples ideas.
