Ok so I have a pixie do and people seem to think this is wrong and way to harsh for my wedding day. But I myself love it. My Fiance also diggs it. I’m not sure what to say to these people when they look at me sideways when I tell them NO I will not be growing my hair out for my wedding day! This was also featured in todays blog [link removed as per self promotion policy] …. What do my sister bees think? Taboo Or Total do for the wedding day?

If you’ve already got the pixie do & love it, I say go for it. Your hairdresser should have an idea of how to make it special. A friend of mine has a pixie do (will be slightly grown out for her wedding) but she loves it cos there won’t be the fuss you would have for a normal bridal do.

Keep it! I love short hair, so I think it would look awesome.

Nothing better than a cute girl with short hair 🙂

I use to have a pixie style and I was so cute in it! I miss it 🙁 My face has gotten, um, bigger since then so I don’t think I could pull it off now.
Anyway, back to you, I totally don’t understand why people always think you have to grow your hair out for your wedding. I think it is a “total do”. However, I do have a friend that had short hair and didn’t want to grow it out for her wedding so instead she had her stylist add a fake “bun” to her hair. When she first told me about it I thought it was going to look awful but it turned out amazing. It looked so natural that no one would have known it wasn’t hers if they didn’t know her.

If you love it and you can rock it, then do it! I think that some people worry too much about things where their noses don’t belong.

Gah. This stuff makes me crazy. You have a pixie cut. Why would you want to look totally different on your wedding day? Look like you.
My bff (and MOH) has a pixie cut. She’s adorable. Someone asked me if I was going to have her get extensions for my wedding. Wtf?

I guess people think longer hair is more feminine and romantic and therefore more wedding-y or something. Still doesn’t make it their business or an issue worth them making a big deal over. If you like your pixie cut, keep it!

I don’t think it’s taboo at all. It’s you, you love it, and you should look and feel like yourself on your wedding day. I find it dumb for you to grow your hair out just for your wedding.

I’ve been keeping my hair short for Years and I love it.

Go with what makes you comfortable! There’s no rule saying brides need to have long hair!

I LOVE pixie cuts on brides!! Ms. Seahorse totally rocked hers, to take just one example.

Thanks bee’s I just don’t see anything wrong with short hair on a bride. I’m excited about all the comments!

If you love your pixie hairstyle, I think it would be a shame to grow your hair out for your wedding day! You want to be able to look at your wedding pics in years to come and think how beautiful and “like you” you look, not scratch your head and wonder what you were thinking. There is NOTHING wrong with short hair!
