i would use them as table names (or numbers) anyway.

i would still put the place cards in alphabetical order on a table outside the room and just have their name and table name (or number) on the place card. That way they just go in and look for their table name (or number) which will be displayed by these beautiful placecard holders 🙂

I think these are incredibly cute. Especially because of your STD picture. Are you having a dessert table or some sort of other table that would require a label? The first thing I think of is having them on your dessert table infront of all the different desserts. There are a few items I have purchased that I dont know what to do with.

Can you use them to label A-C, D-F, G-I, etc? So people know where to look for names?

I think they look a bit small to use for table numbers.

I agree with futuremrsmclean

@GH910: Huge as in tall?  i dont think they will get hidden especially if you make the cards bigger and so they stand out –  but its hard to say without seeing the centerpiece…maybe you could even do 2 on a table opposite of each other so people dont have to walk all the way around the table to see it?

just some suggestions 🙂 either way these must be incorporated! they are so cute – especially with the matching std’s!

You could still use them in connection with your escort cards, BECAUSE THEY ARE SO CUTE!

After you have figured out how many guests are coming and how the numbers line up for the first initial of their last name, place the escort cards as you would have otherwise, i.e on a tray, moss etc.  but broken up into groups according to the first initial of their last name, You want groups that are small enough so that there is not a jam up trying to see their escort card.

On the card that you attach to the lampost, write A-F, G-M, N-R- etc .

here’s a pic that shows a sign for all last names beginning with C

You can use them for any signage around your reception – the dessert table, your guestbook, drink selections, table numbers/names, etc.  Or you could print some photos of you and your SO and have them all around the reception venue on your  extra tables (guestbook, cake, gift, etc).
