princessandthepear :  Don’t worry so much about the place cards… no one will focused on a place card, except the wait staff trying to wait on your guest in a quick and professional manner… make it easy and visual for the wait staff.  If your guest are judging you or your wedding by every detail as small as a place card… then you need to cut some people from your life. 😉

We’re using vintage postcards. You can get unused ones off of Etsy. On the back of the postcard, there’s enough space for the name, and then also the stamp. I did obsess over the stamps a bit.

princessandthepear :  Let me see if I can find some pictures. I don’t think their pro photos are up yet and I didn’t take one of mine!

I’m just having the guests names printed in different colors based on their meal selection…simple and easy! I’ve seen it done at other weddings where the meal was designated by different colored stickers.

You can always just put a colored dot or star sticker on the back of the placecard so the servers can see it but the guests don’t notice.

I just put a small graphic in the bottom corner – beef chicken veg and blank for children’s meal. I Just sized it so it was small and made it a faded color of the text color the names were written in. Looked very simple and clean.

Names printed in different colours or on different coloured paper. I don’t love the rhinestone idea. It looks too arts and crafts for my taste.

These were ours did a colored rhinestone for meal choices if both picked the same meal I just put one sticker, but worked out well.  I also gave the venue a chart of who was sitting at what table and their meal choices and it seems like that was useful I saw a girl with the chart out during service.Reception-0893

There are tons of examples online, just search for “how to indicate entree choice on placecard”.

https://www.google.ca/search?q=how+to+indicate+entree+on+place+card&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwjn6rPwuunOAhUC9GMKHT_ZDJsQ_AUICCgB&biw=1025&bih=494#imgrc=gBOhBxiIzor2FM%3A

There are also old threads here on WeddingBee.

You can use the color of the card itself, or the color of ink you use for the names.

(not loving the labels)

the color of the border

the color of a sticker related to your theme or decor

princessandthepear :  Have a wonderful wedding! I think the sticker is something that you could do quickly.
