I bought colored dots for the entrees and put them on the back. Yellow for chicken, Red for steak, pink for fish, green for veggie.  The venue loved it.

Maybe you could use different colored ink, or put an orange dot or shape on the ones that are chicken.

We’re going to hole punch the top corners of each place card and tie colored ribbons in bows–white and silver–to indicate chicken/fish.  You could do that with ivory and orange, since those are your colors?

I hot-glued little flowers w/ a rhinestone center (bought at Michael’s) to each one.  Each color stood for something.  Craft stores usually have tons of embellishment options.
