I had planned to tuck my menus into the napkins at each placesetting (using a diagonal fold). Unfortunately my napkins are white- and my menus are white, which doesn’t look great. I don’t have a choice for napkin color. My wedding colors are navy and white and you can’t digitally print the color white (so navy paper and white printing are out). How can I make it more colorful? My family and I thought of using ribbon, but I’m not sure how I would tie it/place it/etc. Do any of you have good ideas for using ribbon with your napkin folds? Any pictures you have of good ideas for adding color, ribbon, etc. would be greatly appreciated!
Right now with white on white its just too boring…

Maybe you could have navy paper as the backing to the menus, like Mrs. Penguin’s? I love her menus.

are you having favors? are they navy?
We are placing our favors (royal blue) somewhere on the setting to help bring in some color

I second swp – use navy paper to back the menus. that will add some color for sure.

Add a Navy card stock as the back of the menu card. Cut the menu card down a bit so the navy shows up as a border, us glue dots to attach the 2 (glue dots won’t pucker the paper). It will add enough hint of color to make it look crisp but not boring.

Why don’t you tuck some sort of flower in with the napkins and menus? An accent color to the navy and white? Or you could just use a white rose and it would add some texture.
http://www.flowersandfreshness.com as a great deal on 200 roses.

I vote for backing the menue on a piece of colored paper, that little splash can add a whole new look to things! Either that or tie a ribbon around the napkin, below the menu tucked in the pocket 🙂
