I have been looking at the wedding playlists / “itunes essentials” on Itunes.  I’ve found lots of ideas

This month’s MSW has a big article on playlists and building your own, with actual examples for different parts of the evening AND suggestions of great albums to just play through. I’d check it out, it was VERY helpful.

We just picked songs we like. There’s no designated wedding play-list, and what some brides love, other brides hate. Some request line dances like the Cupid Shuffle, while other brides ban them! And most DJs would try to tailor their playlists to the couples’ taste (not playing hip hop at a country wedding or classical at a rock wedding or something). Just go with the songs that you, your Fiance, and your family and friends enjoy, and everyone will love it!

Whether we get a DJ or not, we definitely will be giving them a big playlist to choose from πŸ™‚

Refinery29 or Racked (or some other fashion site) posted this DIY wedding playlist a few months back, but its now been moved to amazon, as I foudn when I searched for it yesterday.  There are some good (and not immediately obvious) suggestions on here:

Also, what type of music do you like?  I may have more suggestions for you πŸ™‚

@teamajax13: I bet we have identical ipods. I get giddy when I find someone who loves all genres of music….and can do the dougie. πŸ˜‰ I’m excited to follow your wedding!
