I am doing one per couple and unless they write the name of the plus one on the rsvp card it’s going to say “and guest”, unless they only rsvp for 1 seat of course lol.

Do you mean place cards or escort cards? Often escort cards will be by couple (though usually per person), but place cards are almost always by person.

You do need to find out the names of +1s. You should’ve found out their names before sending invitations and invited them by name already, not as “and guest.” However, since you haven’t done that, you may still want to have a heads up on their name so you don’t worry as mucvh about trying to remember their names when you meet them at the reception and you may have to send them thank you notes and would want to address those by name as well.

I remember getting my own at my uncle’s wedding. I was like 12 so I kept it as a keepsake. I think its better if you give each person their own place card.

@jd51:  Yeah. That’s personal choice. I prefer per person because some people like to keep them and I always think you should get the geust’s name regardless especially since rules should be the same as those for invitations, so only couples that are married, engaged, or live together should share an escort card.

I did escort cards by couple/family. I figured if people wanted to keep something, they’d keep the place card. Plus I had over 100 escort cards–they wouldn’t have been helpful if people had to search through 250 (even if they were alphabetical!)

We did one per couple if they were married.  Separate cards for anyone else.  You could do one per person if you are looking to make more cards, I guess… 🙂

Place cards are ALWAYS one per person. Escort cards can be either.

Whoa, I never knew what an escort card was.
