What kind of party do you want? Do you want to know about clubs? If yes what kind of clubs? Entertainment? Food what exactly are you looking for?

If you want to go to a drag show there is Darcelles and Embers both are very fun.

I have heard amazing things about the dualing piano bars.

If you let me know what other kind of places you are wanting I can help more.

@fresitachulita:  Embers is a lot like Darcelles but smaller and they get the crowd involved more. I have only been to both once but I liked Embers better plus the drinks at Embers were a million times better! Embers is also a gay bar so they have the drag show then in the other room is a club. It is fun I think it is only like $5 dollars to get in so not too spendy at all.

The barrel room is where they have the Dueling Pianos. They also have a patio bar/club scene but that is more like a frat party not really the VIP thing you are going for.

I mostly go to the Country bars so I cant really help you with the ones to go to but I would stay FAR FAR away from Dirty. They do have a VIP but they call it Dirty for a reason.

Resturante Roma is AMAZING for Italian food to die for! And if you have anyone who is glueten free they have gluten free pasta too! But they are small so if you are going to have a big group I would suggest making a reservation.

After you are done at the bars though you have to stop by VooDoo Doughnuts! They are cash only but the doughnuts are amazing!

If you want to do a day trip to wineries I would highly suggest going to Newberg, OR. They have some amazing wineries and and if you get a limo to take you guys around you wouldn’t have to worry about driving/drinking. It’s not too far outside of Portland. Unfortunately I worked 2 jobs when I lived in Portland so I don’t know the night life scene very well. BUT I do agree that Ristarante Roma has the most amazing Italian food outside of Italy. Very small and not pretentious/fancy but so delicious.

Some of my fave places:

Boiler Room — Karaoke/Bar/dancing (Near Barrel Room actually, and less crowded after 11… or not less crowded, but a smaller venue and a different crowd.)

Comedy Clubs like Helium (see Ian Karmel if you can!)

Try one of the Portland Walking Tours for the day time (the chocolate one is great!)

Happy Hour at the Heathman Hotel

Coffee at Sisters at 13th & Marshall in the Pearl, Croissants at Ken’s Artisan Bakery on NW 21st & Flanders

Veritable Quandary is a great restaurant for dinner or late night happy hour or just dessert! (Steakhouse/ sort Urban Courtyard environment)

This would be my “greatest hits” or what I would try to do if I was coming up to visit for a weekend and wanted to do my favorite things. 🙂 I’d include a hike of course (check out the 4T trail! which would pry end at happy hour at one of the McMenamins or Clyde Common, or Kenny & Zukes…)
