Where will you be staying? Sometimes it works to get (or have an out-of-town close relative get) a room at a gorgeous hotel/b&b/inn and do some shots there if you can’t be at your venue site.

Can you get to Windham? You could go up to Searles Castle

*Bump…Just wanted to bump this thread…as I am getting married there as well and wondered the same thing. Would love to do searles castle pictures but I am sure they would prob have a wedding going on there as well, and it be rude to take pictures without renting out the castle.

It’s about 20ish minutes from Salem, but Winnekenni Castle in Haverhill, MA is on a lake and it’s gorgeous.

@MissParrot:  Don’t know how naturey you are, but the Hampstead Conservation Trails on West Road has a lovely field surrounded by trees right at the beginning of the trails where you could take pictures. Also if you like old buildings, the center of town by Town Hall could be pretty and fun. You could try Shop Pond nearby. Also there are a few lakes in Hampstead- Big Island Pond, Sunset Lake, and another one, can’t remember. If you go down Governor’s Island Road (a one-lane road, keep in mind) there is a cute bridge over the lake to the island (Governor’s Island) that could be a LOVELY spot to take pictures, but keep in mind you’ll have to get out of the way for occasional traffic over the bridge. Also, due to the parking being on the side of that road, you couldn’t really bring your whole entourage down there.

Hope this helps! Let me know if you have questions, I know these places well.
