@MissLittleChicken: Wow, thank you!
@mrsSonthebeach: I know it’s hard to judge from these pictures. I guess that’s what I get for putting my mom in charge of taking pictures! Haha. Hmmm … I keep looking back through the pictures, and I see how it can look like my waist is just kind of … Meh (in the Watters). Part of me feels like the belt kind of cinches it in, though. Man, this is tough!
@angelicd77: I’d definitely say the La Sposa (second dress) is something I could see myself get married in. I did feel that it was flattering, and it’s obviously a very elegant, gorgeous dress.
But … Then I think about the Watters. You’re absolutely right, I totally rambled on and on about that one! Haha. (I tend to do that anyway, but whatever. Haha.) It’s going to be a really tough choice, I think (especially between these two). My biggest fear is buying a dress and then worrying that I didn’t make the right decision later. Right now it feels like I have all of these amazing options available, but once I buy that’s it … No turning back!
@MissBling: Thank you for that.
I actually think a lot of women can pull of dresses they never thought they could. I’ve seen girls posting things on these boards that look absolutely amazing, and then they talk about how they weren’t sure they could pull off that look in the beginning.
I was really surprised that the more form-fitting dresses looked okay on me. I would definitely still consider purchasing some Spanx to go underneath if I ended up with one of the lace gowns (especially if I don’t lose the weight I’d like to prior to the wedding), but the overall general look wasn’t bad. Mermaid dresses looked awful on me, though. I literally looked like an Oompa Loompa because they cut me off in the wrong places. Yuck!
The watters dress is beauitful and I can tell even by your body expression that you like it better.
It’s funny that you say that. I didn’t want to post my face in any of these pictures, but in the first picture my mom took of me in the Watters gown (not the first one posted here, but a different one), I just look so happy. I was actually surprised when I went back through the pictures and saw how excited I looked. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a picture of myself that showed such a genuine look of happiness and excitement. I definitely can’t ignore that!
