I think if you love the channel set band you should use that! If you are concerned about it looking off balance, maybe you could switch out your solitaire setting to a 3mm white gold solitaire setting so it would match your CS band.

What about getting your soliatire rhodium dipped to turn the finish to white gold (costs about 40 dollars)? If they were the same color metal they might look like they go together more. I think they match JUST FINE though honestly! I really am a big believer in sentimental jewelry, and if the CS band is what you want as your wedding ring, then that is what you should wear.

I have a 4mm plain solitaire and a 2.5mm prong set semi eternity on either side and I love that sandwich look.

I dont’ think it looks off balance at all! i like it and definitly dont think you should buy another 3mm band for the other side. it would be way too much!!! i love the symbolism and the look of your existing set.

I think the 3mm channel set band goes perfectly with your ring.

I think they look really nice together!  Maybe it’s just that you’re not used to seeing them together – wearing them around the house for a day would definitely help!

What if you got a plain gold band to wear on the other side of the channel set band? Thats how my mom wore her wedding band (plain yellow gold band) anniversary band (prong set eternity) and ering (yellow gold tiffany style round solitaire).

ETA: Here is a picture I stole from google images that I think is from the bee

    ETA: its lilsweetie‘s set.

I think you should keep your sentimental band! It really does look beautiful and not off balance at all.

I actually think it looks fine together. I definitely would try wearing it around the house for a day before making any final decisions. Don’t want to give up a ring that has such sentimental value without being 100% sure about your decision. And here’s my set…
