Here goes my first post! So, after trying on several styles of wedding rings I was still none the wiser of what I wanted. After speaking to my husband to be he said he preffered a traditional plain wedding band, so after much thought we went ahead and ordered our rings. They have arrived and it feels so comfortable on & looks nice & simple. But as most women do I then start to second guess my choice! Does it go well with my engagement ring? Is it too bulky? Soo many questions including should I have gone for a diamond band or am I just being too greedy?! Please give me your opinions to help me make my mind up! Im in desperate need of some advice!

I like it with the plain band. It’s a very simple and classic look.

I think it looks gorgeous. I adore that look very traditional. And you could always get an eternity ring at some point to bling it up a little. I was a little bit like you in that I couldn’t decide between plain and bling so I feel the ring I went for is a compromise. I’ll attach a pic. It doesn’t feel too blingy but just enough sparkle. It has 12 diamonds that go the whole way round. I think you can get them added to a plain band. Maybe that’s an option, you could add some to what you already have?

Plain bands are classic for a reason. I think it looks lovely.

I’m more of a plain band fan than a diamond band fan! However, you can always get a third band

MrsEden: I love your set! Your ERing and the plain band look beautiful together and, as PPs have also mentioned, very classic — and classy! I think it would also look beautiful with a diamond band. As others have said, you could always get a diamond band to add to your set later. (“Later” meaning whenever you are ready to make the addition. ) Your set would look very pretty with a diamond band stacked with your plain band … or you could switch the bands out depending on your mood on a particular day.
Your ERing is so beautiful that I don’t think you can go wrong no matter what you choose.

MrsEden: Your set is gorgeous!! It does look really great as is; however, I love love love diamond bands. I just love all the sparkle diamond bands have, especially pave bands. You rock whatever your heart desires!

MrsEden: I love your set. Mine is classic too, the only difference being that my wedding band is octagonal. I’ve decided that I’d like an eternity ring to add a tiny bit of bling…Will see what Darling Husband comes up with on a future anniversary 🙂

It looks great together. It looks like it matches perfectly. Definitely a classic wedding ring set. Personally, I would’ve gone for a blingy band. I just love the look of a plain solitare with a diamond/blingy wedding band. Something so interesting about it. It’s all about what you prefer though! Comfort goes a long way. And what you have is beautiful!

I think your set is classic. classy and traditional; it looks beautiful on your hand. Many people feel that a wedding band must be a plain gold band. Additionally, many people (myself included) get a traditional plain gold band for a wedding band and later get a diamond band as an anniversary ring. That might be a compromise if you want both!

I think your ring looks very classy and elegant, love it!. I love the classic look as well. I was initally going to get a channel-set wedding band to match the channel-set diamonds on my ering. However, I wanted some contrast so that you could distinguish what was the wedding band and what was the engagement ring. So, I got a plain band (not married yet, so can’t wear it yet lol). I think it looks great and very classic. I intend on getting an eternity ring in the future for an anniversary and I didn’t want my eternity ring and wedding band to be the same. So, overall that is why I chose a plain wedding band. Here are pics of mine to show you:
