I think you look lovely in the Mori Lee and I’m not a huge fan of big ruffled bottoms. I’d also be really nervous ordering blind and cutting it so close.

sakurabee :  I think you look stunning in the first Mori Lee! The simple, lace one. It fits you perfectly and compliments your shape so much. I’m not a fan of ruffled, layered skirts at all. Plus don’t buy without trying, unless you’re desperate budget-wise (like I was). Seriously, the lacey Mori lee looks amazing on you!

I think Eddy K dress is very risky to buy without trying. But the dress you tried on looks amazing! Personally I would never buy a wedding dress without trying unless i was very simple and cheap.

The first dress is really not as simple as I had in mind and you look fantastic in it! 🙂

I think the Eddy K is risky!  You look petite.  I am too and that style of dress swallowed me up!  I LOVE your Mori Lee!  You look gorgeous!

Plain is the last word I would use to describe that Mori Lee dress! It’s so beautiful and romantic, plus it looks great on you. I would be stressed beyond words to buy a wedding dress without trying it on. Not to mention I’m not a fan of the ruffled skirt.

I voted for the first dress.  I’m really not into the tiered ruffle skirt look.

I much prefer the first dress, especially on you!

I wouldn’t call the Mori Lee dress plain at all. It has very detailed lace. I think it looks stunning on you.  Can’t see that you could top it really.

There’s no way the boutique can get the Eddy K for you to try on?  One of the boutiques I went to said if I like anything by a designer they carry but don’t have they can get for a small one-time fee but the fee is refundable if I either purchase that dress or another dress in the store.

Anyway, the Mori Lee does look perfect on you but … I’m voting Eddy K because the drop waist really does look good on you.  I don’t like most dropped waist gowns but seeing them on you I can see why designers make them.  Plus I like ruffles!!  When else are you going to get to wear those ruffles?

sakurabee :  I really love the Mori Lee on you, but it’s obvious you’re not convinced.

But I don’t think it’s wise to buy a dress you haven’t tried on.

Is there really nowhere near you that carries that designer? A store that already does is more likely to be able to help you out.

sakurabee :  did you try on either of these Justin Alexander dresses?

I am mentioning them because Justin Alexander is a more commonly found designer so you are more likely to to be able to try on.

The second one above, though it’s not drop waist, I think it would suit you like the Mori Lee does because the ruffles are away from the waistline. Wearing dresses with layers and ruffles right at the natural waistline can make some girls look wider, so I can understand your preference for drop waist.

It sounds like, at the end if the day, you really want the Eddy K. Would you feel like you settled in the Mori Lee?

I like the Mori, and it certainly isn’t plain , but by looking at how you look in that first drop waist ball gown you posted I think that the Eddy would look gorgeous on you. It comes down to whether or not you are ok with taking the risk to order without tryin and only you can answer that. But my opinion is that I do think it would be capital S Stunning on you!!

Good luck, let us know what you choose.
