So I finally found some shoes that didn’t break the bank (less than $30 with shipping!) and that didn’t aggravate my very sensitive knees. It was very hard finding non-ugly, low heels for me. I bought about 4 shoes online before these. Seriously, someone should come up with a low heel shoe store with all the latest trends!
I did end up cutting these heels because 3″ is too high for me to be standing in all day. The cobbler in my area was awesome and he got it down to 2 1/4″! And it doesn’t even look like I had them cut!
Anyway, I bought something plain because I wanted to personalize them. My wedding is black and white with purple and red here and there. My dress is the CPK440 Oleg Cassini by but I am removing the bling waist en lieu of a black sash.
The shoe that I bought is the Hyppolyte from Call it Spring. This is what it looks like:
I want to do something with it. I just dont know what. Any suggestions? I am ok with bling but not a crazy amount of it.

@Miss Moxy: I like those shoes a lot!! they look really cute. If you want some bling how about putting crystals on the heel, either clear or maybe purple or red to go with your colors?? My shoes were white satin and I did some Swarovski crystals on the heel and a small line inbetween the front ruffles- they came out beautiful, its so hard to campture the sparkle in pictures tho.

You could do the sparkles (above) or you could add a shoe clip. I got mine on Etsy, I actually cut off the clip and glued it to my shoes for better comfort. I also glittered mine, before that they were very plain white shoes.

@bella731: I was thinking about something like this. What size crystals did you use?
@Lyndzo: How did you glitterfy them? Is there a special process?

Those look great! Also comfy! You could get cute shoe clips in any style that you like, maybe feathers or a flower in your colours. Etsy has lots of good options at all price points 🙂

@Miss Moxy: I used mostly 3mm some 4mm and the biggest were 5mm. I also used the E6000 glue, its a bit messy if you go this route- it makes little stringy things that get everywhere. If I were to do it again (which Iam- pearls on my bridal shower shoes) I would get a paint brush or something and put a light coat of glue on the shoe and then the crystal or pearl on it vs. dipping the crystal in the glue (that way I ended up with too much glue on the shoe)

I would go for a shoe clip, perhaps something like this but purple instead?
Or why not a pretty bow, I love bows on my toes – makes me look at my feet with this huge wide grin!

before joining the bee, I never imagined making your own decorations on shoes, I loooove sparkly flats and I always have such a big trouble finding some, now I’m thinking of giving it a try to doing it myself, amazing the things this site can teach you hehe
@Miss Moxy: I would add some crystal design to the front with red/purple/black. Maybe just some lines across the top bottom and middle of it would look cute? (since you said yes bling but not so much) I love the crystal heel idea, or the sparkly one too haha

@bella731: Thank you! I saw a video on how to do it once, but I’m one of those people who have to see different ways of doing things. I think she just put the glue on the shoe and stuck them on. I’ll keep those sizes in mind!
@eocenia: I love those purple bows <3 Thank you!
@cherriesandcream: You definetly should try it out!!! Thats why I got less expensive shoes, because I planned on cutting them down and adding my own tough and I didnt want to end up messing up some expesive shoes! My FH would kill me. >.>
