Hi bees. I’m feeling a little left out! Did anyone else here just get plain wedding bands in simple metals? How do you like them?
Fiance and I just wanted plain basic wedding bands, and we opted for silver for him and white gold for me (it’ll match my engagement ring better than silver – keeping them both on forever!). Just glancing at the ring boards, it looks like we’re in the minority.
Is there some downside to the ones that need polishing, other than that? Since I’ll already need my e-ring dipped once a year or so, it isn’t really a big deal for us to have it done (and for only 15 pounds while we shop apparently!)

I wondered about the ratio of fancy vs. plain wedding bands myself recently- so I put it to a vote (here) and about 1/4 of Bees have plain bands!

@hana.schmitt: We both have plain wedding bands that match by their cut. They are both beveled on the sides. Mine is in white gold, and he chose tungsten.

I’m trying to decide right now – one of my options is like this:
I really like the look of plain bands 🙂 Do you have a picture of yours?

No, it’s at the MOH’s for safekeeping! And because Fiance keeps wanting to wear his now! (Which is so cute, but we gotta wait!) I’ll snap one on Monday 🙂

I really like the idea of plain wedding bands. They’re classic and will age well. Plus…they’ll be easier to replace (and yet still match) if something happens to one of them.

The more I think about it, the more I prefer plain metal bands. I’d really like my Fiance and I to have similar bands, and I’d much rather put more $$ towards the wedding and honeymoon than towards diamonds.

I LOVE plain bands so much! I think they’re so beautiful & classic/timeless! They’re also good for when you don’t want to wear your e-ring due to damaging it during hardcore things like outdoor stuff or gardening/house work!
