I think that a solitaire would enhance the beauty of the center stone. Do you have pics of what you like?

you’re talking about my ring lol. I have a 0.75ct center stone solitaire with 0.2ct (or is it 0.02? they’re tiny) side stones.

I’m biased – I love a solitaire.  In my opinion nothing makes a diamond stand out better than a good setting (let some light in!) and a thinish band,

@bellarex:  no mine is still a solitaire essentially. the side stones are embedded in the band. the ones you’ve posted are more on the trinity stones setting than a solitaire with side stones like mine.

I chose it because it was very simple.

I’ve always been partial to rings with sidestones, although solitaires are lovely too.

I have a three stone ring.

My center stone is 1.6 cts and the side stones are each .45 cts, so a total of 2.5 cts.  I think the ones that you’ve posted definitely have larger side stones as well.

Mine is a Hearts on Fire setting. The center stone is only .65 carats, so your stone would look larger, but I do like the way the little stones look and they aren’t so crazy and blingy that it screams “look at me, I’m so flasy” (I let my band do that ;)). The side stones total are only .15-.2 total altogether.

Mine’s a little smaller than your target stone size- I believe it’s 0.71- and the side stones are obviously sapphire, which I don’t think are measured in carats, but here are some pics if it helps. Oh, ring size is 6.
