I have had a CZ  dress ring for 20 years,  and now i think its cloudy and needs replacing,  but it took a long time before it needed replacing.  a Moissanite sounds like a good swap,  but maybe you wont even need that yet?

I haven’t gotten my band yet either…but I do know my FH wants a PLAIN PLAIN band and I will probably get one to match.  I do like the look of plain bands.  Its classic!

I love my plain band! It’s low-maintenance and can be worn all the time. I love that as I’ve worn it, it’s developed a warm glow and little dings in the gold. Reminds me of how far we’ve come already. ๐Ÿ™‚

Something blingy that needs cleaning and attention would be too much of a PITA for me! I’ll save that stuff for the anniversary jewelry, haha.

@FutureMrs.Wood: Thank you so much for posting this.  The plain band is simple, clean, classic and a symbol of pure, unending love.  We haven’t bought our wedding rings yet, but I am thinking of a simple band with milgrain for both of us.  Until my mom died a few years ago, both she and my father wore this type of band.  My father still wears his.  To me it is the definition of a wedding band.  Eternity bands and the like are beautiful, but they don’t complete with the classic elegance of a plain band.

The other thing is that it it practical and somewhat carefree – gunk won’t get caught in it all the time like bands with stones in them.

Two plain bands for me!  I like how they don’t take the focus away from the ering.

@Minutiae:  This picture is one that made me want a plain band over a blingy one…it is SUCH a beautiful picture and set!  Love it!

I LOVE a plain wedding band. It’s so simple but even when worn alone, you know what it symbolizes… So i got two! I love that they do not take away from my e-ring and i’m also a fan of symmetry.

Here’s mine! I’ve always wanted a plain band. I like the symbolism, and I’ve always liked the simple look. I may get an anniversary band later, and I don’t want too much going on. ๐Ÿ™‚

@Minutiae:  I also really love all three of your/your husband’s rings!

I love a plain band as well! Its 2mm 10k yellow gold. My husband plans to get me a diamond anniversary band for when I just want to wear a band (as my e-ring & wedding band are going to be soldered together to keep them for moving away from each other during the day.)
