What about taking a honeymoon on fall break or christmas break next year? Go somewhere tropical while it’s cold back home. 🙂

We are taking a delayed honeymoon, too. We moved just after our wedding so we jut couldn’t swing it at the time. So we’ve been debating on when to take ours as well.

@oracle:  “I’m not so concerned with your age reasonings 🙂 but I AM very pro take a honeymoon after the wedding vs. wait a year.  We wanted to do a big 1-year honeymoon trip and other things took priority over the trip (unexpected expenses) and it made me wish we did a big trip for our official honeymoon.  I say: plan the honeymoon you can afford/make happen NOW – and then if you can do Jazz Fest as an early 1-year anniversary trip – go for it! :)”

I disagree, we waited 11 months to take the big trip.  We stuck to the plan, and I am so very glad I didn’t try to do something like that immediately after my wedding.  All I wanted to do after the wedding was relax and recover from wedding planning hell.

We went on a “mini-moon” after our wedding.  It was perfect.

Have you considered a cruise at all? Depending on where you go it could be considered an off season price.
