What about taking a honeymoon on fall break or christmas break next year? Go somewhere tropical while it’s cold back home. 🙂
We are taking a delayed honeymoon, too. We moved just after our wedding so we jut couldn’t swing it at the time. So we’ve been debating on when to take ours as well.

“I’m not so concerned with your age reasonings 🙂 but I AM very pro take a honeymoon after the wedding vs. wait a year. We wanted to do a big 1-year honeymoon trip and other things took priority over the trip (unexpected expenses) and it made me wish we did a big trip for our official honeymoon. I say: plan the honeymoon you can afford/make happen NOW – and then if you can do Jazz Fest as an early 1-year anniversary trip – go for it! :)”
I disagree, we waited 11 months to take the big trip. We stuck to the plan, and I am so very glad I didn’t try to do something like that immediately after my wedding. All I wanted to do after the wedding was relax and recover from wedding planning hell.
We went on a “mini-moon” after our wedding. It was perfect.

Have you considered a cruise at all? Depending on where you go it could be considered an off season price.
