This is a type of thing you can’t plan. You never know if you will get pregnant the first, second, third try. When it happens it happens. You can’t say “Hmmmm I want my baby born this month so I will get pregnant this month.” Doesn’t work like that. haha

@echolove: i don’t have children yet, but i plan on planning it (planning to plan…lol). i want to avoid being pregnant in the summer at all costs (how miserable!) so I’m thinking we’d conceive July/August/Sept and have a spring baby. 🙂

As bad as this will make me sound I’m going to confess this: my goal is to give birth towards the end of the year for tax purposes.

My sister did this and it worked out for her.  I don’t want to be overly pregnant in the summer heat, so I am hoping to get pregnant in August/September, so I would give birth in May.

@echolove:  I have always said that my vag will be closed for business Nov-Dec cause I don’t want to be super pregnant during the summer! It gets HOT here!

It goes without saying as PP has mentioned that there’s no guarantee on anything, but yes, I’d really like to plan it haha.

FI is a tax accountant, so he is busy working 80+ hour weeks from February- mid April. It would be SO difficult for us if I gave birth right before or during these months.

We’re about a year or two away from TTC tho, so we have some time. Ideally we’d try to conceive in August, to have a May or June baby… We’ll see though!

@echolove:  I, thankfully, live near the beach now but we might be moving to the Valley where I will FRY! 🙁 My mom being 7 months pregant in August with my sister. We didn’t have AC connected and had a heat wave. Mom made us stay at a motel down the street while the AC was finished! I remember walking into the room with mom, she ripped off her dress, blasted the AC and laid in front of the unit in just her underwear! I’m pretty sure then, at the age of 8, I decided I would never be pregnant during the summer!

We planned both of my pregnancies to give us spring babies. If you don’t have fertility issues and are prepared to accept a baby born anywhere between March and June, it is totally possible.

I’m a teacher. I’m hoping to be pregnant before school starts in September. That way, the baby will be born in the spring and I’ll have the end of the school year and all summer with the baby before going back to teaching in the fall.
