I have a files on my computer for flowers/decor, dresses, rings, cakes, lighting, venues, and misc things accumulated throughout the years. He’s going to officially propose around July, but we have already decided on a Dec 2012 wedding, made the guestlist, and told some family overseas so they can start saving for the plane tickets!

I know its coming & I’ve been “planning” ever since the ring was bought (almost 2 years). I have a few folders on my PC that contain pictures of my dream wedding… Dresses, bridesmaid dresses, cakes, jewellery, hairstyles, make up… FH doesn’t know about it tho… It’s my little secret

I started gathering things I liked for the wedding… 3 years ago… now mind you this was just little things because I was helping my FH’s sister plan her wedding, and his other sister got married the year after.
So before he proposed I had the guest list done, day of schedule, budget, and knew what I wanted for decorations, lighting, dresses, flowers, centerpieces, shoes, guys attire. All saved in different files on my computer… that my FH knew about… somewhat. And the date was picked out a head of time.
His proposal was a bit of a surprise… but I knew it was coming. We have been together for 8.5 years (high school sweethearts!)

we got married before he proposed. the proposal is a little outdated. the conversation and the decision are already made, so plan away!

I was sort of unofficially engaged for about 4 months before he proposed. We had already decided to get married and we even picked a date, but he didn’t consider us engaged until he proposed “properly”, so we were not openly engaged. We did do some planning together before he proposed… now that he finally has we can start to make our ideas reality!

We’d been talking about our wedding for years—things we liked, things we didn’t like, things we definitely did or didn’t want to borrow from other people’s weddings, etc., but nothing concrete. We talked about it more and more leading up to the proposal, so looking back on it, it was a natural time, but it shure shocked the hell out of me.
