i bought all my centerpieces from the doller tree and bought this small rope type fabris and wrapped it around it. and were putting candles in them. it has more of a beach feel but just thought id share, maybe you can use a different fabric. also I live near LA so were getting all the flowers from the flower district the day before.. much cheaper..

I would also check out local thrift stores like salvation army or goodwill for some centerpieces or at least the vases for them. Dollar tree also has a website and it can show you ideas they have done for weddings for inspiration. ALso check craigslist for just about anything, including vendors! You will be surprised! I found my wedding coordinator, DJ, cake baker, and officiant all on craigslist. They are very reputable vendors who were just running specials for their business.

How about using fruit or food for the centerpieces so that it can double up as favors, appetizers, dessert, and/or placecards?  Martha Stewart has a cute tablescape using tomatoes and breadsticks.  I’ve also seen some really cute tables using other fruit (grapes, green apples, olives, and figs all go with your color scheme) and desserts (macaroons, donuts, cupcakes).  It makes your table and decor so colorful plus it’s useful! 🙂
