Planning a scouting trip to Mexico for my Destination Wedding. Any advice on the “must-dos”? I know to go look at venues and do caterer tastings.
How necessary is it to visit florists, try out DJs, etc? What about a hair/makeup trial?
Any advice on how to try to fit everything in and what is the most important would be helpful!

Even if you don’t htink you will need one, I would recommend meeting with a wedding planner on your first day. We didn’t think we needed one and after a couple days in Mexico we realized that we might, so we met with someone on our last day there. I wish I had met her the first day because she was incredibly helpful. She recommended venues we had never heard of (private villas, haciendas, etc that are not commonly advertised) and gave us names of local florists, hotel info, inside info, etc. I also think it would be good to set up a hair and makeup trial. I didn’t and wish I had. I’m now freaking out and hoping to squeeze in a trial on my first day there, but if I don’t like it, I won’t really have any other options other than doing it myself.
Where in Mexico are you getting married?
