I feel pretty overwhelmed with it all… I am looking forward to it but then not if that makes any sense.

I think once you get engaged and it becomes real, you will feel differently.

@pink k: i don’t care about the wedding either. i just want to be his wife… he’s the one who wants the whole shebang….. but he’s paying so i guess i don’t mind haha… if it were up to me i wouldn’t mind just privately getting married just us. i don’t care a hoot about a fancy or surprising proposal either. but he does.

I feel the same way, I just want to be his wife and don’t really care about having a wedding. My problem is I’m an only child so I’m pretty much obligated to do it so my parents get to have that moment. Plus, I know he wants to do it the “proper” way so I’m outnumbered lol I feel that moritake22 is right though, I will probably feel differently once i’m actually engaged.

@Impatiently waiting: That’s funny. My guy is the one who wants the big, real wedding. I would be thrilled just to elope. I tease him every once in a while that he’s been dreaming of his wedding since he was a little girl. Smile It’s all in good fun.

I am looking forward to it but I am not planning anything until I am actually engaged. I am more excited to become his fiance then his wife, but I am in the situation that I can have my dream wedding so I am excited about that too. My SO brought up destination wedding and how cool it would be to get married on a beach but that wouldnt work as lots of friends and family could not afford that.
