10 months should be more than enough time.

Planning a wedding in 10 days is technically possible.

As for whether you should, that depends on whether you already have a set idea of exactly what vendors/dress/venue you want. The more willing to compromise you are on those, the more possible it is to do this successfully.

10 months is definitely possible!!! I planned our wedding in Houston – a very popular city for weddings, where vendors and venues book in advance – and it was plenty of time! I wouldnt have wanted our engagement to be any longer – by the time we got married, I was so ready.

Choose a month you want to get married, create a budget if you haven’t already, and decide on a venue and photographer. Try to go dress shopping at least 6 months in advance, so you have time for your dress to arrive. (I ordered mine in February and it came in in July, plenty of time for our November wedding.)

Then just be disciplined – work on a couple wedding things each week – and you’ll be fine!

Yes, absolutely.  ESPECIALLY since you have the dress. That can take a very long time!

You may not get your first choice vendors but you’ll more than likely get one of your top 3.

I also had an aversion to 2013 and odd numbers.. I got into a huge fight w/ fiance before we were engaged because our timeline was pushed back and I KNEW we were gonna have to get married in 2013…. …I’m SOooOoO glad to see someone else feels the same way 🙂  You will get over it, I promise you.

Good luck 🙂

We did ours in 8.

you may be need to be flexible in who your vendors are however to get your date.

Your venue should determine your date at this point.

A wedding in 10 months is totally possible. Lots of my married friends are christians so had reasons for not wanting to wait and plan for a year and so they planned their weddings in less in 10 months.

@peachbaby4008:  You’ll be fine!  I planned mine with about 9-10 months until our date.  once you have the bigger things booked, its smooth sailing!

@peachbaby4008:  10 months is more than enough time.  i planned my whole wedding in 5 months from a different country.  trust me, it’s possible.

i suggest picking up a planner or getting one from online.  just check off the items as you get them done.   research looks, colours, themes, etc online and then narrow down your options.

tip:  don’t get too wishy washy with your decisons.  stay focused.

we bees are always here to help you too.

I planned in 4 months. I may have not been able to shop around for prices as much as I wanted but I had a beautiful 130+ person wedding. You just got to pull the trigger and make it work!

Yes definitely enough time! How big will your wedding be? Ten months will give you plenty of time to make all your plans even for a big do especially because you’ve aready got your dress.

My fiance and I planned a small wedding in about 3 weeks. Although I did get my dress in October but it was second hand from Ebay and luckily needed no major adjustments.
