I’ve just started planning our wedding in Oahu May 2014. It will only be Fiance and I going for 10 days (we are having a party with friends and family before we leave).
I am seeking any advice or recommendations on who to use for the ceremony and photography??? I have been looking at Waimanalo Bay for the ceremony site… has anyone been there?? Also, any other tips on places to go, places to eat etc… are VERY appreciated!!!!
Thank you in advance!!!

I don’t have tips on your ceremony/photography but I vacationed in Hawaii last year and LOVED IT!
There are SO many fun things to do on Oahu – including: Snorkelling on Hanauma Bay, driving up to the North Shore and seeing all the massive turtles and gorgeous beaches, hiking up Diamond Head to see the view of Waikiki, visiting Pearl Harbour just to name some of the major ones! Go to the luau at the Royal Hawaiian as well!
Also – the shopping in Waikiki is really good 🙂

@leyla-bee: Congrats on the Hawaii DW! I absolutely LOVED Anna Kim- she is soooo awesome:) http://www.annakimphotography.com/ My wedding was on Maui, but I know she does weddings on all islands.
I had Reverend Pia as my officiant- he was the best. His service was very beautiful: http://piaaluli.com/
For a wedding planner, I’d totally recommend Darren Keala at Bliss Weddings- http://www.blissmauiweddings.com/ he is also the florist/owner at Ku O Lani Floral Designs- check out his work: http://www.kuolanifloral.com/ He is incredible- the absolute best (and he is so kind- huge heart). He can help with anything and everything. [email protected]
Good luck and PM me if you need any other advice- will try to help!

Congrats and Oahu is beautiful!
I went to school at the Univesity of Hawai’i and my fiance and I vacationed there again this year. Only advice about Waimanalo Bay – it is absolutely beautiful, but it can be VERY windy. So keep that in mind – as long as you don’t mind that I definitely say go for it!
Regarding Luau… another good one is Chief’s Luau. It’s actually really close to Waimanalo Bay and is at Sea Life Park. It’s located on a cliff overlooking the ocean and mountains… the site is GORGEOUS. I also liked that it is a smaller Luau… only about 100 attend so it is a lot more intimate.

@MissGatitas: Great to know about the wind! That will come in handy when deciding what to do with my hair 🙂
