I have no advice, I do the same exact thing! I have not been able to commit to a color scheme AT ALL. I feel your pain!

I think that’s par for the course AND par for the course for wedding planning. Since you’ve got until October, now’s a great time to put together an inspiration board. So go ahead and tear out ANYTHING that catches your eye–don’t discriminate! And just keep adding for a few weeks. THEN once you have a collection, you’ll start to see patterns and start to figure out what sorts of things are the most important to you.

And, although I still think you should do the inspiration board first, for most of us, one of the things that we have guiding us is budget, so you can also start working on that. Once you have a number in place, that’ll also help to pare things down (a sixteen-tier cake is certainly dramatic and a butterfly release is magical, but if it means eating McDonalds, you’ll probably drop those ideas).

One more word of advice: be careful with wedding porn. A lot of it is done by professionals for brides who have unlimited budgets–it’s wonderful and aspirational and inspiring, but if it starts to make you feel small and stressed and like your wedding is crappy, give it a rest.

i was making an inspiration board, but i found so many things that it turned into an inspiration powerpoint! what i found that helped was put big pictures of the inside of each venue (church and reception) in the middle and put things with it that i thought went together!
