I know it’s a bit early for stressing when my wedding is in December. But I can’t help but feel that everything won’t come together and the day of the wedding will be here before I know it and I won’t have anything done.
I’m planning a peacock inspired wedding… that’s the easy part. My wedding will be in Puerto Rico where my fiance’s family lives. My family and I are from Washington state, quite a bit of a trip if you ask me. Having a destination wedding is super fun, but incredibly stressful. My fiance wants to have some of the tradional things that most destination weddings don’t always have. We decided on a venue… but now I’m stressing about the overall feel and look of the wedding. The reception has been my biggest source of stress. Most of the centerpieces I’ve found are not totally what I’m looking for. I don’t want to have just peacock feathers. I love flowers and I want a centerpiece that makes a statement. Since the wedding won’t be too huge (around 40-50 guests) we can afford to have the reception be a bit fancier than I would have imagined. I have a few ideas in mind but I would like to see what you bees have to say and if you have any amazing ideas 🙂
Here is everything I have so far… and let me tell you, finding those apple green shoes has been a freakin’ nightmare. I found a place where I can dye shoes which is perfect! Let me know what you think! And suggestions are always appreciated!

Wow! This looks amazing 🙂 I absolutely love the color scheme. That centerpiece is also great!
I can understand why planning a reception would be hard for you… a lot of people with destination weddings have a package where agencies plan major parts of the wedding or you. But it doesn’t look like you have that, since it will be a little different than normal destination weddings (not that I know much about them). I’m sure you’ll get everything done… but there will be stress as well. Just one of those things!

Gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous! I’m sorry you are stressed, planning my local wedding has been crazy, so I can only imagine how you feel. Your inspiration is so pretty, sending good thoughts and hugs your way. It will all come together for you 🙂

Thank you! My fiances favorite color is green and mine is purple so I looked around and decided on the peacock theme!
I have full support of his family and mine so I’m sure everything will come together. The venue has a wedding coordinator and caterer, so putting everything together shouldn’t be a huge problem. And since his family is from there, I figured they would have a good idea of where some of the best places are to get the cake, flowers, photographer ect. We’ll be traveling there sometime in April and staying for awhile 🙂 Which will be very exciting! I should get a better idea once I’m there.
