Let me preface by saying that I have anxiety, and this is just me being a worrier.
My wedding planning has so far, been fairly easy. Had a few bumps, but nothing major. Deposit is down on the cake and DJ. We are meeting with the photographer tonight. Church is booked. We are having an outside reception at my parents house, so no big deal there (my step-dad is even installing another bathroom in their basement, it will be their 4th!). Our save the dates are ordered. We won’t be doing many flowers and don’t have a wedding party, so nothing there to really worry about.
My problem is that I am just waiting for the other shoe to drop I do this all the time, with everything, including Fiance. He is so right for me that I know something is going to happen. How do I push those feelings aside and just enjoy planning?

@emviamama: My planning went quite smooth until the end and I think it’s also because I had very realistic expectations having been in the wedding industry.
honestly, if you have contracts, are working with professional vendors, starting planning early, have realistic goals and things, there is no other shoe! it’s simply a result of being a good planner! of course little hiccups happen but sounds like you’re on track. Relax and have fun!

@melonseeds: Thanks! I am a tried and true procrastinator, so maybe that is where this is coming from. I am literally the person who has books on how to NOT be a procrastinator, that sit unread.
Guess I will continue to enjoy the planning process!

Our planning was easy. Like @melonseeds:, however, I have an extensive event planning background and knew what I was getting into going in.
The ONLY time things got stressful was the day before when my Darling Husband completely dropped the ball on one big thing– I screamed at him and lost my cool for a few minutes, then we recovered and moved on. Beyond that, planning was fine. Our wedding day was better than I could have imagined!

Hey if everythings going smoothly, then dont worry about it! Just enjoy being engaged and happy! Dont make stress for yourself. We all have enough already in our daily lives! 😉

We started early and other than not getting the hotel we wanted for guests its gone pretty smoothly for us. We Both like things done early so that has helped spread things out and give us time to deal with issues. I have quite a bit of experience in project management skills that has been very useful as well… As long as we both show up and don’t go over budget we can work with everything else… Hope I didn’t jinx us or anyone else whose planning is going smoothly 😉
