We’re doing exactly 6 months, Jan.-July. Our venue took a month to research, caterers took another two (thanks to Fiance wanting to go off the approved caterer list and research people on Craigslist we never used). We had all of the big decisions except for music decided at 3 months.

You can do it if you’re good at making decisions/ not second guessing yourself. I bought a sample dress the first and only day I went shopping. Fiance and I are doing the planning without parental influence, which also helps.

It’ll be an issue for you if you’re looking to do a lot of DIYs- mine are just the flowers (which I’ll have help with the day before), invites and favors. People also thought we were “crazy,” but with 2 months left, we’re basically done except for the DJ.

Hey!  I did not work on that kind of time line, but my friend is and I am in her wedding. They got engaged last week, and are getting married in Sept. … (nope they are not pregnant)!   We also planned a wedding for my sister in three months several years ago.  Point is…  it can be done!  The limited amount of time is sometimes a godsend as it allows less second guessing of your decsions.

Many blessings!

Ours is 8 months… Nov 16 to July 7. It feels short to me, though! When we picked the date it seemed so far away. But once planning was underway, the time just flew.

We should be finishing up all planning this week or next, though. So it’s definitely do-able in 6 months or less! 🙂
