@nyfinest1 No way! We are saving time, money & stress by not having a bridal party. I am 29, hes 35, most of our guests are married or doctors and we have small families. We want our guests to relax, have fun and enjoy our wedding/weekend. Wedding is in Miami, chic, 150 guests (expected). All our vendors (including Catholic preist) have been excited upon hearing about no bridal party 😉

We are only having one Maid/Matron of Honor and one Best Man. I have no desire to try to herd cats on my wedding day lol

I’m not having a bridal party other than a flower girl. Not having bridesmaids and groomsmen has been a huge help! My #1 goal is to limit stress! Having fewer things to plan is great- fewer bouquets, boutonneires, gifts, etc. Now my friends can use their money towards attending the wedding and not picking out a dress.

nyfinest1 :  If you don’t want to have a bridal party you for sure don’t have to! It saves a lot of time and hassle. I am having 3 bridesmaids and the whole dress choosing process has been a nightmare, plus all the communication and coordination between everyone. It’s a lot to take on. It will save money to not have to worry about the costs of florals for them as well.

I didn’t have any desire to have a bridal party. I thought it would be too much of a hassle, and too much drama. However, my hubby wanted a Best Man so I ended up going with a Maid of Honor, who was one of my longest/dearest friends. It was drama free and fun.

If my hubby wasn’t so set on it, I wouldn’t have had one at all.

Didn’t have bridesmaids, groomsmen, flower girls, ring bearer or anyone standing with us besides the officiant. Simple, no hassle and no regrets.

nyfinest1 :  We only had our 2 daughters stand up with us and it was so stress-free and easy!

I didn’t have a bridal party. Honestly, I never really wanted one to begin with. When people asked, I usually gave the excuse of it being a small wedding or joked about how we didn’t need bridesmaids to trick demons or groomsmen to kidnap me (the original role of the wedding party). No one said anything negative about it.

nyfinest1 :  We’re not having any bridesmaids or groomsmen either. Weddings are enough drama / stress / hassle without adding more things to the mix lol so we’re trying to keep it as low key as possible.

sboom :  “herd cats” 😂 I feel you

One maid of honour and one best man. They will walk down the aisle but then take their seats. We are standing alone with the officiant.

We won’t be having one. Cheaper and easier not to – don’t need the extra stress!

I had two attendants when I got married the first time, and that was a cluster. This time around, I had no attendants and it was soooo much more stress-free! No drama, no arguments about dresses – I highly recommend!
