My boyfriend and I have been together for 6 years. We knew we wanted to get married but didn’t have the money right away for a ring. We found our venue in January and put down a deposit to save our date, and started planning our wedding, knowing that the ring would eventually come. Plus, I don’t need a diamond to know he’s the one I want to marry.
Anyway, this morning he surprised me with an Easter basket and kept telling me “the best candy is in the big eggs.” I finally opened up the big egg and there was my 1 carat solitaire diamond!
We did things a little backwards but I couldn’t be happier! It was definately well worth the wait 🙂

Congrats! What a great way to propose! I remember last year hoping I would get an Easter egg proposal but it came a month later at a B&B.

That is ridiculously adorable! I agree, you don’t need a ring (or THE ring, as in my case) to plan the wedding (: Your ring is beautiful, and I wish you the best of luck with the rest of your planning!
