Hmm, where will you be for the rest of the day (location wise)? Most people will say Burke Williams, and that’s a great choice, but I think it’s a little matronly and I’m not a big fan of spas that are located in a big shopping complex. I guess that’s LA for you.

If you want luxury, I highly recommend Argyle Salon and Spa in West Hollywood. My friend is a colorist there and they have a superb staff: http://www.argylela.com

If you really want to try something different (and amazing!), go to The Olympic Spa in Koreatown: www.olympicspala.com Yes, it’s a Korean spa where everyone walks around naked. They use Bumble and Bumble products, it’s totally clean and the facilities are phenomenal. My best friend took all of her bridesmaids here (we’ve been going there forever) and it was a big hit. They things that most spas don’t or may but you’d never be able to get for the price: eculyptus room, jade quiet floor, hot tea bath, korean scrubs and all the regular services you’d find anywhere else for half the price.

If you are looking for a mani/pedi, go to Dashing Diva in Pasadena. It’s the ultimate girls hang.

i’ve been to the burke williams in beverly hills and pasadena. at the one in pasadena, i saw lark voorhies aka lisa turtle from saved by the bell in the dressing room.

burke williams is ok… but i think you can find something better!

It’s about a half hour away from LA, but the ABSOLUTE BEST day spa that I have ever been to is Glen Ivy Day Spa in Brea. I am actually planning on going there for my bachelorette party. It is so much fun for people of all ages. There are pools and mud pits and sulfur baths and SO MUCH MORE. I would definitely consider it!

Burke WIlliams South Bay is beautiful. Plenty of free parking and eateries are near by. Panera Bread is downstairs if you just wanna grab something light before or after. It’s on PCH and Crenshaw.
