Like, anywhere in the world?  Apparently you can arrange a totally private proposal on the top of the Taipei 101 building, which sounds awesome to me, but that might not be her thing.

What does she LOVE?  If she’s a theater buff, take her to Stratford and propose on the steps of Shakespeare’s own church.  If she loves nature, take her to Nepal and propose on a peak.  If she loves beaches, take her to Maldives and propose on one of those islands that’s so small you can see the ocean on all sides no matter where you stand.  Tailor your choice to what she’ most passionate about; that will make it extra special.

Croatia is supposed to be very nice although I haven’t been friends of mine recommended it.

Sorrento in Italy and the Amalfi Coast are beautiful parts of the world and very romantic.

Is there anywhere in the world she has always wanted to go or see? That would be a good shout

andrews1986 :  We need a bit more background! Is there anywhere where she has always wanted to go? How limited is your budget?

Any budget?

I think Maldives would be super romantic if your gf loves sunshine.

Or how about Christmas in Santa Claus Village?

mrsg9118 :  I totally second Venice.  I just got back from there and it’s gd magical.

As for making it special, honestly I find the really involved and complicated proposals sort of lose something.  I might recommend just keeping the ring in your pocket and waiting until you hit a particularly lovely moment.  If you’re in Venice, you can’t really go wrong in St. Mark’s square.

Yes, we need more info. Is there any place your gf has always dreamed of going? What is she into? Does she like bustling cities, releaxing on the beach, hiking through the mountains? Is she the type that wants a big show or would she rather a more intimate proposal? What is your budget?

Not sure where you are from or what she likes… but if she’s an outdoorsy person I recommend Lake Louise in Alberta, Canada. It’s the most stunning view you ever did see.

I recommend a small town rather than a big city. My partner and I got engaged in France, but he knew I would be unhappy if he proposed in a crowded place, so we got engaged in Mont Saint Michel instead of Paris. There are many lovely small towns outside of every big city, so wherever you decide, I recommend you find a small day-trip and propose in a more personal, prettier place!
