Hi everyone ! So I finally found a venue and have a date set for October of next year. However, I really need some help/tips with budgeting and planning.
We have a 10k budget but I would really love to stay under that. My venue was 3500 however that was just the site fee, so it’s up to me to find food, decor , dj, etc.
My biggest questions are where did you begin if you were in a similar situation, how can I stay on budget and the silliest is where do I even find chair/table/linen rentals??
Im planning and organizing everything myself as our wedding is very small (about sixty guests.)

Does your venue have a list of preferred vendors? That’s always a good place to start.
Other budget ideas: think non traditional places to get things like flowers, cake, invitations, etc. My flowers came from a local grocery store, and I know Whole Foods is surprisingly affordable for flowers. We did a small cake for us to cut, but served cupcakes for our guests (they could have the cake too if they wanted). Costco/Sams/etc make AMAZING cake at a fraction of the cost. and my invites were from Sam’s club as well and were about 50 cents per card, so $1.50/invite if you also get an enclosure card and RSVP card.
