So I’m planning my own wedding (we have a day of coordinator) and clearly, since I’ve never done this before, I feel like I’m overlooking so much. We have about 5 months to go and so far, this is what I have:
Venue is booked for ceremony and reception, florist is booked (we have to use the one the venue supplies), I’ve booked my DJ, my caterer, our officiant, our bridesmaids and groomsmen are good to go, I have my wedding dress and shoes (need veil and accessories) and my BM’s dresses have come in. I’ve already booked rooms at the hotel for my guests and for myself and the bridal party, and we just booked our honeymoon. (it’s a cruise, so rooming and food and all that are covered).
Our Save-The-Date Cards have already gone out, and I’m handwriting invitations and will be done by tomorrow and sending them out soon. My Maid/Matron of Honor says she’s planning my shower but I can’t know anything about it, so that part I’m in the dark.
I know I have so much done, but I seriously feel like I have SOOO much left to do. What am I overlooking? What things need to be done? Are there any things that you forgot to plan or wish you had done around this time before your wedding? Any advice would be GREAT! Secrets, tips, funny stories…anything.
