October 2012 brides! Hi!
I’m sure we’re all at different stages of the planning process… depending on how long you’ve been engaged, but as we approach that 8 month mark, I thought I’d see how far you’ve come and where you’re headed to next in the ‘ol checklist!
Well… We’ve booked our church, the reception venue, a caterer, our photographer, the DJ, and a photobooth. I found my wedding dress. We have bridesmaids dresses selected and tux fittings underway. I feel like I’m in good shape, but we’ve been planning slowly since June 2011. Next up?? Make our wedding website, decide on STD’s, figuring out flowers/decorations and dessert!
What about YOU?!? I’d love to hear about your progress so far!!

Well, I think I’m way behind.
So far I’ve:
Booked ceremony and reception venue ( same location)
Said Yes to the dress and reception dress
Spoke with a caterer but haven’t done a tasting yet with them
Pick my colors
Fiance picked a DJ that I’m not crazy about
Booked rooms for Out of Town guest
Picked flower girl dresses and Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses but haven’t ordered yet
Things I plan on doing this week:
Decide on a rental company for chairs, tables and tent
Contact some photographers
Contact some saxophone players
Start designing wed page
Decide on Save the Dates

@mrsjjohnson2b: You don’t sound behind to me!! Making great progress by the looks of it 🙂 I hope your DJ works out, it’s nice that your FH is involved in helping to plan at least! And a saxophone!? That’ll be awesome!
@pineapplelove: Holy crap girl, only a week and you’re that far along already?? You are a wedding planning whiz… congrats and way to go!
@macshap: Yay, we’re engagement month AND wedding date twins! Good luck with the rest of planning, you’re owning it so far!
@tonights: You are totally NOT behind… hope this thread helps you see that you’re in really good shape! AND you’ve even started over, so that says something!
@actime: You have a TON done!! I think finalizing the guest list is one of the hardest things to do! You even have favors and gifts in hand, impressive!
@MsBrewer: Awwww, thanks lady!! Did you take a honeymoon? If so, where?

@HummusGal: Lol, thanks. I am a planner by nature and I really wasn’t planning on buying most of the stuff I found but it was to good of a deal to pass up, lol. But our Out of Town guest list was the easiest. We pretty much sent everyone Out of Town a save the date. If they are willing to cough up the $$$$ to fly in for our wedding then come on, lol. We are still working on the local guest list but we really won’t finalized until April or so.

@lizzy105: You are a machine girl!! Love seeing all of your progress, makes me want to get back at it 🙂 My MO has been TONS of research, mixed with spurts of productivity… gotta keep that productivity going and follow through on some of that research! So many options though… haha
@MissNapaBride: Great work Napa!! Good for you, jumping right on it the second you scored the ring! Such an exciting time… 🙂 That knot checklist is pretty helpful, but holy overwhelming sometimes, so many little things to think about.
Best of luck ladies, you’re all doing GREAT!!!
