Everyone is staying at the hotel and that’s also where our reception will be…if we were having a reception at a different place we’re hire a school bus or trolley for our guests so they can feel free to drink and not have to worry about driving! I hate when people don’t provide this for the guests. The hotel where you blocked your rooms may also offer this service!

We are having a mini bus take people back to the hotel and I think we’ll just hop on that since we will also be staying in the hotel.  Then the mini bus will take people out to the bar if they want to go!

Our hotel will offer this for guests. We aren’t sure what we are going to do yet. We are taking a minimoon to a mountain resort for the weekend and then a honeymoon in the summer, so I am thinking we will have our best man take us to the hotel/home and then us drive together to the mountains.

I think its the one day you can justify spending a little more (on everything!), and will regret not doing so for somethign like transportation especially since your home is so close.

We lucked out and the limo company we booked with was having a special that included them picking up me and hubby in a limo for free! But if that was not the case we would probably rely on our family

We drove ourselves to our hotel at the end of the night.

We’ll most likely be rocking my 02 Saturn Vue! We won’t be drinking at the wedding, and only a few guests are staying at the hote; (and most have young children). There really won’t be much drinking at all – mostly just our college/high school friends and my uncles, lol.

We have a limo bus during the day and to take us to the venue for the ceremony at 7pm. We bargained with the company and they are sending a car service for us free at the end of the night.

Our ceremony and reception were at the same location.  We hired a limo for three hours at the end of the evening to pick us up and transport us to our hotel suite, which was about an hour away from our venue.  One of my very favorite wedding pics is a pic of us in the limo at the very end of the night.

It’s less than a 1/4 mile from my reception to the hotel.. maybe we will enjoy a quiet walk back together πŸ™‚

@Ms Rocky Point:  Just talked to Fiance – this is what we’re doing. will also ensure that our wedding clothes get left at my dad’s house (that’s our venue!) and not accidentally left at the hotel! When I called him, he got all cute and excited about the prospect of going for a quiet walk together after the hectic day we will have πŸ™‚ awwww

I know Fi wants cars to take us from the hotel, church, and reception I’m guessing we will hop on the shuttle with the guest and head back to our hotel.

I guess it depends, one thing it would be nice to just leave when you want without waiting on other people, but after spending lots of money on other transportation for the day would you really want to shell out more money for a car?
