Yes, I’m going to apply when I’m much closer to my wedding. I probably won’t be accepted, but it’s worth a shot!

Definitely! In like a year, when I’m actually engaged, haha. I’m ignorant of just how many applications Mr. and Mrs. Bee get, but I’m pretty confident in my chances of being accepted. ๐Ÿ™‚

Nope. @Minutiae, they accept something like 5% of applications. So, it’s harder than getting into Harvard.

I love my wedding to death but I don’t think it’s anything that people haven’t seen before. Plus, most of our DIY ideas are coming from WB itself or from blogs that most bees read, so I wouldn’t be contributing anything new, other than my sparkling sense of humor. ๐Ÿ™‚

@LittlestBirds: My cousin is attending Yale and my grandfather was a rocket scientist. It can’t be that hard. ๐Ÿ˜›

    Just because I graduated from Yale doesn’t mean that 5% isn’t 5%!

    Here it is: http://www.weddingbee.com/weddingbee-bloggers/

“While we would love to accept everyone who applies, unfortunately we receive many applications and have very few slots. icon_sad.gif  Please note that only about 5% of applicants (or 2-3 bees/month) eventually become bees, but either way you will receive a response.  If we don’t accept your application, you’re welcome to reapply after 4 weeks.”

I know, I’ve read it quite a few times. ๐Ÿ™‚ I think that those of us who have been around a while and actively participate have an advantage over other applicants. Either way, I don’t think a statistic like 5% should deter anyone from applying! If 5% is 2-3 bees/month, then what is that, about 50 or so applications a month? It’s not like the bees are being picked out of thousands every month, haha.
