anyone have any experience with plantar warts? I found one on the bottom of my big toe a little over a week ago, and it seems like it’s spreading, as I think I jst found another “cluster” under the skin.
I had one a few years ago, but it stayed in one spot and didn’t get bigger. This one is already pretty sore, but I’m terrified to go to the doctor to get it frozen. I’ve been treating myself with wart treatment, soaking each night, and rubbing with a pumace stone, but i’m not sure it’s working…

@anotherbee: Go to the doctor and get it over with because they can spread and be a massive problem. When I was in high school, I had them and they were bad enough I ended up having to have surgery with a local anesthic on one foot and had to wear slippers instead of shoes for the first couple months of my sophmore year.

@anotherbee: I think if it hasn’t cleared up after trying some home remedies, that’s when you should go to the Dr. You definitely don’t want it to contiue to spread! Good luck!

If there are only a couple of problem areas, try some tea tree oil applied 1-2x/daily. It’s really important to let it soak in, so I always use it before bed and then sit with my feet uncovered for about 20 min. The tea tree oil has anti fungal and antiviral properties, so it kills the cause of the warts.
