Smartyhadaparty.com  go there.  Now.

Okay, I guess you already checked it out, but it really is the BEST place to find real looking plasticware.  Just make sure, though, that whatever you’re serving isn’t meat that requires to be cut.  FI’s cousin used the real-looking plastic silverware and the forks and knives broke and actually cut some of us while we were trying to cut our chicken.

We are having a backyard wedding, and will be using paper plates.  This is my inspiration pic.

@Mrsgurzakovic:  I think depending on the theme and vibe or your wedding, plastic dinnerware and paper cups would be fine.

We’re serving BBQ at our wedding but don’t want to rent rent china and be liable for it. We are opting for plastic charges and fake looking silver colored plastic place settings. Mason jars are for drinking and we will be using plastic cocktail cups for the bar.

oh girl i feel your FI! lol we are having mexican style buffet, and serving beer from kegs and some specialty cocktails from pink plastic cups (ya know like the red ones?) but for us, its in our budget, and well it’s just totally us! lol i guess it just depends on your style and formality of your wedding.

We’re doing plastic! It’s a casual backyard kinda thing and they’re those plates and utensils that look legit. We got ’em super cheap. If your wedding is informal, which it sounds like, I wouldn’t worry about it at all!
