Well its an extra 3 per person to get real glasses/plates – now at first i was planning on just spending it – but I am on a strict budget and the plastic is actually very nice. Its a hard plastic square plate with silver coated plasticware. At most weddings most people would say no. But its a very casual barn wedding/reception. I don’t mind that.
My concern is with the glassware for the wine/ champagne.
The “glasses” that come with it are the clear plastic solo cup like glasses. I’m fine with that for the sweet tea/lemonade and the beer i’m gonna try to get bottles so that shouldn’t be an issue. I would like atleast real wine glasses at the table for each place setting (something different for kids?). I’ve thought about buying some glasses from dollar tree for a dollar each and letting them just reuse that glass when they get wine.
The receptions in the loft area and the bar area is at the bottom of the stairs. How could I somehow tell them to bring their glass with them for wine? I’ve seen the “Your glass for the night for whatever tastes right” signs but idk if thats enough to say. If they forget their glass and they order wine theyd get a smaller plastic cup.
