There is a big difference for me between the two. The plastic ones will not stay in my hair. When I made my veil, I got a metal comb and covered it with ribbon and then attached it to my veil. It stays in really well and I don’t have to worry about it slipping off.

I got it at Joanns in the wedding section. You kinda have to look for them. I think it was around five dollars, but I had a coupon and it was definately worth it.

I think it is about 5 inches wide and about 2 or 3 inches deep. I can’t get to it right now, or I would measure it for you. They also have smaller ones, but the ones I saw had some kind of crystals or something on them. I didn’t see them either the first few times I went down the wedding aisle. If you can see where the veils and tiaras are, that is where they should be.

I think you need to see what works best in your hair and depending on how you want to wear it. I am leaning toward hair down or partly down and I have thin (but curly) hair. I tried both and found that the metal comb didn’t stay in as well so I bought plastic.
