we are using the same plastic silverware and plastic plates, another bee recommend this page smarthadaparty.com they really have good deals on all the plastic stuff  we may buy them from there.

no that is not “tacky” to serve from plastic plates. tacky is eating a lobster dinner while your guests eat bubble gum and weiners. if you are going for a fancy pants party, i would say it was cheap not tacky.

Yea, not such a good idea, you could find something cute, and for a good price with a little shopping (resale shops, garage sales.. etc etc..) mismatched is so chic! 

Plus all that plastic is just not very eco friendly 🙁

I wouldn’t if you can possibly avoid it. Everyone knows that weddings are expensive, and people want to cut costs. But if there is any way to rent china or get mismatched sets then I would.

My other concern would be the waste, and that’s something I would be unhappy with, both as a bride and as a guest. Most of those plastics are non-recyclable. I know that some people don’t seem to care about that sort of thing, but I think that caring for our planet is important.
