I’m with ejs here! My boobs are rather large – and after a few kids they won’t look great. I was telling Fiance to enjoy them while they still look nice … and he was like “don’t worry, if it bothers you, we can fix it.” And I told him that I’d probably want a tummy tuck afterwards as well – because we want a large family and I’m self conscious about my stomach as it is!

I want breast implants so bad, but will never get them. I mean, what do you tell your co workers and family? “I got fake boobs because I want to be sexy”? They’d be like, “dude, you work in research and are married…you don’t need to be sexy.”

@kalibali, you tell them “because i wanted them and they make me feel good” =]
ps married researchers in boring jobs can be sexy, too =]

All the talk about boobs. Me.. I dream of a nose job. My nose isn’t terible, but I thik if I got a nose job, that would really make me look nice. But (sigh) I don’t think my husband wants that. But why didn’t I do it sooner? I don’t know if it’s money, or nerves, or some sort of, “God made me this way for a reason”…… But I still think about it. I just think how much prettier I’d be if my nose was smaller 🙁

Haven’t had anything done, but I’ll totally consider it as I age.
And post kids, I’m all for a breast lift and a tummy tuck!

I’ve had a plastic surgery procedure done about 5 years ago, and I’m glad I did. I’m all for it, as long as you are doing it because YOU want it, not because someone else wants you to do it.

I always said I would never have anything like that done but recently I think I’ve grown a bit more comfortable with the idea.
Part of what changed my mind was my friend’s story: We were about the same size before she had kids (maybe her boobs were a bit bigger than mine). She had three kids in 4 years and didn’t really lose the weight in between. This meant that she sort of got larger with each pregnancy. After the last kid she had her tubes tied and started getting healthy again. She lost a lot of weight and looked amazing (with clothes on). The problem was that her skin didn’t go back and it was really saggy and gross. It actually hung over her belly button so that you couldn’t even see that she had one! Also, her “full D” boobs turned into a saggy A. She was offered the surgery for free (long story) and went to an excellent doctor for it. (Her family doctor’s wife went to the same plastic surgeon and if that’s not a good recommentation, I don’t know what is!)
Honestly, if that was me, I would have jumped at the free surgery!
Oh, I helped her out with the kids that week and WOW, she was in a LOT of pain. She actually said that if she knew how much it hurt she wouldn’t have done it. I saw some of the bruising and fresh stitches and it just looked so painful! It looked like somebody beat her!

I had breat augmentation Oct 23 of last yr (just hit my 1yr mark!). I dont regret it at all, in fact I think it has helped me.
I grew up with 2 brothers, they would make fun of me and say our parents had 3 boys. I got called every name you can think of: ant hills, mosquito bites, egg yolks, pimples, etc. I am 5′ 120lbs, very petite. In my job no one took me seriously because I am so small and look so young. and of course no boobs didnt help.
Last year after having yet another episode of tears and frustration in my closet I booked a consultation. After 4 consultations and going over every pro and con, I finally did it.
I feel that I have more confidence in myself and my appearance and I look more like a woman and not a little girl. I went from a -A to a full C cup. No one knows that they are fake, they dont look it at all and they fit my body perfectly.
I think if you do it for the right reasons and your ok with the pros and cons, then no one should tell you what to do with your body. Some people are against it, and thats ok, then they dont have to do it. But for those of us that have opted for it, its our body, its our choice.
