Due to our budget we will be using plastic tablecloths for our tables (I also like the fact that it’s easier to clean up and less worry) Do any of you bees have any ideas on how to fancy them up a bit? Or any ideas for cheap table runners I could use?

I went to a wedding where they used plastic tableclothes and then cut other tablecloths that were a different color into runners then put confetti overtop. I am thinking I have to do cloth too because we are just having a bbq and catering ourselves so I am thinking we will end up doing disposable plates and fancy tableclothes probably wouldnt match!

We’re having a casual wedding and our budget is at the most $4000. Family is pitching in where they can and I have an cousin who is buying the tablecloths But I would like a lil more to the tables that just a plastic white tablecloth. I might look into buying a different color tablecloth and cut it in half and use that as a runner like fuzzipeach mentioned. I will continue looking. We have 48 tables to cover so it might be a challenge.

You could use burlap runners- it would complement the burlap bow on your centerpieces.
Here are all the ads on craigslist right now:
I have also seen a roll of Kraft or Butcher paper used as a runner.

If you’re trying to snazz up your event, instead of using plastic, have you tried the paper on top with plastic underneath ones? http://www.codwholesale.com/Plastic-lined-paper-_c_238.html

@codwholesale– We went with the plastic white table cloths in the end. I used some silver tissue paper in the center. As soon as I am able too I will post a picture of our table decorations. They were nothing fancy but we were pretty happy how things turned out.
