Hey Ladies (and gents)
My e-ring is a platinum solitaire from Blue Nile. I personally don’t mind all the nicks and scratches that it has accumulated over the last 6 months, but I was curious – do any chain stores offer buffing of platinum rings?
If you have Blue Nile – did you ever send it back to them for a buffing?

I’m not sure but I think any place could do it for you really. I bought the diamond for my setting at the Jewlery Exchange and I think they’d probably be more than happy to buff it for me. I’d check with blue nile before doing anything to make sure your not voiding any warentees or anything like that.

My ring is platinum from Blue Nile and I jsut took it to the local jewlery store. They cleaned it for free on site in like 15 minutes. It was beautiful. Ask a local jewler. Good chance they would do the same!

I’m not sure about chain stores but most don’t have a workshop on-site so if it’s anything more extensive than using an ultrasonic cleaner or polishing cloth I would lean towards no.
While shopping for wedding bands I found a local jeweller who does custom work with platinum and has all the tools on-site. They were able to polish my ring in no time and I trusted them with it since they work directly with platinum on a regular basis.
I would suggest finding a reputable local jeweller you can trust and return to for polishing and repairs on your platinum ring.
