hi all bees-
i am not sure where to post this, but i really need some suggestions!
i have 2 weddings to go to in august; one is out of town, in the morning, casual/summer attire outside ceremony followed by inside reception. the other one will be in town at night (pretty standard wedding)
the other day i found this dress and i thought it was super cute for the summer especially for the casual wedding, BUT i have now some doubts about it.. here is a pic of it (the dress to the right)
i got it at American Eagle outlets for $14 woowooo (apperently it is a dress from the past holiday season oops, but still cute). it is a cream color but it looks goldish depending on the light and it has some silver/metallic detail in it too…
my question is, doesnt it look too white? i dont want to sabotage the bride and look whiter than her! plus i was thinking to pair it with a tan/sand short sleeve shrug or any other color you think would go with this dress, maybe an aqua? or an orange?, and nude pumps look great too!
i have a second casual dress that i could wear for this wedding, so if i decide to dont wear this dress, coul i wear it for the night wedding or it would be too casual?
thanks for the help in advance, much appreciate!

imo, it’s too white. it’s a really cute dress, but i wouldn’t wear it to a wedding.

I agree, it’s too white. Also, a lot of brides go for ivory or gold (Maggie dresses) so the likelihood of it being too close to the bride’s dress is definitely there.
Cute dress – just not for a wedding.

I would wear it and add a colored belt and shrug or something. Its super cute

Cute dress but too white for the wedding imo.

That is a white dress. I think it’s adorable, but I could see a bride wearing it to their rehearsal dinner/as a getaway dress. Definitely too white for a wedding.
Super cute though.

Not the a wedding… just because of the color.

Oh wow, both dresses look really white. I would stay away from anything that “looks” white as well. Unless it’s a dark silver, I would go with something else.

well maybe i could wear it for our first year aniversary if we ever decide to do anything 😛

I think if you added colored shoes and a colored belt or big necklace it would be okay. Just that alone though is too much white. It is a perfect summer date night dress though!

Yea I have to say its too white for a wedding. Super cute but I wouldn’t feel comfortable wearing that to a wedding.
